President Prabowo Subianto Thursday (02/13) personally sent off President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and First Lady Emine Erdoğan as they departed for Pakistan from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta.
The moment marked the conclusion of President Erdoğan‘s state visit to Indonesia, which featured strategic meetings and discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Indonesia and Türkiye.
On that occasion, the two Heads of State shared a warm embrace and engaged in a cordial conversation as President Erdoğan exited the car.
President Subianto then bid a respectful farewell to President Erdoğan just before he ascended the aircraft stairs.
The plane carrying President Erdoğan and his spouse departed Indonesia at approximately 18:50 Western Indonesian Time.
For the record, President Erdoğan’s visit to Indonesia not only reinforced the 75-year-old diplomatic ties between the two countries but also marked a significant milestone in expanding cooperation across various sectors.
Following a meeting at the Bogor Presidential Palace, President Subianto emphasized the longstanding historical relationship between Indonesia and Türkiye.
“Indonesia and Türkiye share a very special spiritual and emotional bond, as we have maintained contact with the Turkish nation for centuries,” President Subianto said.
The bilateral talks between the two leaders were intensive and productive, covering cooperation in numerous fields.
As a result, 13 agreements were reached, ranging from energy and industry to education and religion.
“I am pleased that the visit was incredibly fruitful. President Erdoğan’s visit marks a new chapter in our strategic partnership,” the President remarked.
