The Government has issued a Joint Decree of Minister of Religious Affairs, Minister of Manpower, and Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reforms on National Holidays and Mass Leaves for 2024.
“For 2024, the Government has stipulated 27 national holidays and mass leaves, with 17 national holidays and 10 mass leave days,” Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy said in his press statement after signing the joint decree in Jakarta, Tuesday (09/12).
According to Muhadjir, the stipulation of national holidays and mass leaves in 2024 serves as a guideline for all to plan activities in the coming year.
“The stipulation of national holidays and mass leaves in 2024 is meant to serve as a guideline for the people, families, economic actors, tourism workers, and other private sectors so that they can plan their activities in the upcoming 2024, as well as a reference for ministries and Government institutions in formulating work programs in 2024,” he said.
Muhadjir also stated that the implementation of the national holidays and mass leaves will be further regulated by Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reforms for state civil apparatus and by Minister of Manpower for the private sector.
“Following the signing of the Joint Decree, Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reforms will formulate the Draft of Presidential Decree on [National Holidays and] Mass Leaves for State Civil Apparatus in 2024,” he remarked. (UN) (DH/MUR)
